Value of industrial production reaches 9, 184 billion VND in October

On 28 Oct, the chairman of the Danang People’s Committee Tran Van Minh presided over the press reference of October 2009.Mr. Nguyen Van Chanh, the chief of the People’s Committee Secretariat announced several basic points of the socioeconomic situation in Danang city in the first 10 months of this year.

Accordingly, the value of industrial production in the first 10 months is estimated at 9184.5 billion, up 6.5% over the same period in 2008, among them: Central state-owned industry is estimated at 4,324 billion, up 8.5%; local industry is at 3, 230.5 billion, up 6%; industry with foreign invested capital is at 1,630 billion, down 2.6%.The export turnover of goods is estimated at 462.6 million USD as the same period in 2008. The value of manufacturing agriculture and forestry and aquiculture is estimated at 581 billion, down 4.7% compared with the same period in 2008; among them: aquiculture reaches 392 billion, down 5.5%; agriculture reaches 171 billion, down 1.1%; forestry reaches 18 billion, down 2.7%.The total amount of selling retail and service is estimated at 17,718.1 billion, up 14.3% compared with the same period in 2008.

Consumer price index in October increases 0.91% over the previous month, rising 5.55% compared with December 2008 and up 3.62% compared with the same period in 2008.

In October, economic structures created jobs for 1, 587 labors, and raised 25,544 of the total amount of labors from early in the year 2009 until now.
